7/10/03 - InventVermont received a $1000 grant from the Downs Rachlin Martin (DRM) Community Fund. This fund was established to provide small grants to assist non-profit organizations with their innovative economic development projects. InventVermont is a member-based non-profit organization that was created in 2001 by Vermont inventors to assist their members with the successful pursuit of their invention ideas.

"Individuals and small businesses are an important source for new technology and innovation in Vermont, and innovation creates economic growth," said Larry Meier, chairman of the Intellectual Property Practice Group at Downs Rachlin Martin PLLC. DRM is pleased to support this activity through its Community Fund Grant to InventVermont.

On hand to present the award to InventVermont was Tony Gangemi, a patent attorney with Downs Rachlin and Martin. Gangemi has been actively helping InventVermont by making presentations at their monthly meetings and by participating on the Development Team steering committee. "We are thrilled that DRM selected us to be a recipient of this award. We are a new organization and these funds will help us tremendously as we pursue our goal of reaching and helping more Vermont Inventors", says Norm Etkind, President of InventVermont.
