Dr. Paul Dunn

Dr. Dunn has a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Arkansas. He is Director of the Entrepreneurship Studies Center, Distinguished Professor of Entrepreneurship, Professor of Marketing, and Director of the Small Business Development Center all at the University of Louisiana at Monroe.

He is author of the book "Market Analysis: Assessing Your Business Opportunities." He has authored numerous articles with recent emphasis on counselor competence entrepreneurship behavior theory, and the impact of starting and managing a business on entrepreneurs, their spouses and children.

Dr. Dunn directs cases for the Small Business Institute, over 100 in last five years. He annually counsels over 300 potential and exiting small business people on various aspects of starting and managing small businesses. He directs 60-70 business plans per year and teaches numerous workshops on various small business startup and management issues. He is a master Trainer for FastTrac sponsored by Kauffman Foundation.

Other accomplishments include co-developing the Louisiana Small Business Development Center and the University of Louisiana Entrepreneurship Studies Center.

Internationally he has taught MBA level courses in Small Business Management, Entrepreneurship and Marketing Seminar in Hong Kong. He developed and presented programs in entrepreneurship, business education, and education in the Czech Republic. He also developed programs for entrepreneurship in emerging economies in the Ukraine.
