The major portion of my business career has been spent in overseeing sales, marketing, distribution and product sourcing for companies such as General Electric, Emerson Radio Corp, Welbit Appliance Company and Appliance Corporation of America. Since 1997 I’ve spent a great deal of time working to understand how television now plays another important role in “new” product marketing, where it fits in and how to use it.
Originally from New York, my wife and I have been living in Vermont since 1993. Although sometimes difficult logistically I think that being in Vermont has made me look behind the curtain and forced me come up with a whole new plan. It’s fortunate when you don’t need a script to do your job and what you are doing is helpful and it allows one to earn a living by drawing on everything that you have done your whole life.
For the past few years my business partner, Warren Tuttle and I have owned a company named Bear Mountain Marketing. Our primary focus is providing practical and useful information to people that are committed to understanding the process of bringing new products to market. In 2004 - 2005 we were very pleased to have worked on bringing to market two best sellers at retail with a combined sales total of 7.5 million units or $150 Million in retail sales.
