Eli Moulton, partner of Merritt & Merritt & Moulton, Lawyers for Growth Companies, provides
clients with expert advice in choosing the appropriate legal entity for your business, having the right contractual agreements in place between business founders and partners and protecting your intellectual property as your business grows. He also works with many entrepreneurs to find the appropriate financing to start or grow their business.
With clients ranging from small start-up ventures to large public companies, Eli has focused on general corporate representation, including mergers, acquisitions, roll-ups, public offerings, exchange act filings, private equity financing and commercial lending. He has taught several continuing legal education classes, including classes such as "Choice of Legal Entity," "Representing the Small Business in Vermont" and "Mergers and Acquisitions." Eli is a founding board member of the Green Mountain Adventure Racing Association and a founding member of the Burlington Referral Organization.
Eli graduated with honors, magna cum laude, from the University of Colorado Business School, with a double major in accounting and finance. He received his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law, where he was a member of the Virginia Tax Review. He is currently anactive member of the Massachusetts and Vermont bars.
