Funding Opportunities in Vermont
This meeting will host several speakers, each will highlight various avenues for obtaining funding for bringing your idea to market.
Dr. Judith Van Houten - VT State EPSCoR Director
Judith will highlight the VT EPSCoR Phase 0 program that offers businesses in Vermont $10,000 grants to foster research and development projects that will lead to application to federal Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) programs.
Richard W. Munkelwitz - Vermont Small Business Development Center (VtSBDC)
Richard will highlight the federal SBIR program that provides grants of $50,000-$100,000 in Phase I and $750,000 in Phase II. He will also discuss a variety of other ways that the VtSBDC can help you obtain funding.
Sam Buckley - Director of Business Programs at the Vermont Community Loan Fund
Sam will discuss creative ways to finance your business using the Community Loan Fund.
Ed Antczak - Burlington's Community & Economic Development Office (CEDO)
Ed will discuss concrete ways in which CEDO works with small businesses to help them get the funding they need to succeed in commercializing their product.
