Understanding and Protecting Intellectual Property

Whether you are a baker with a special recipe, an artist with a song, or an engineer with the next great technical advancement, almost all individuals doing business generate some sort of intellectual property. Knowing what intellectual property is and how to protect it can be key to keeping your competitive edge in the marketplace. Tom Ference, a registered patent agent with the United State Patent and Trademark Office, and Doug Wolinsky, a copyright and trademark attorney, will review the common types of intellectual property that include patents, trademarks, copyrights and trade secrets. The presentation is a must attend for all entrepreneurs and small businesses seeking knowledge on the options you have for protecting what you have worked so hard to create.
